Keeping your yoni egg clean is simple. Two parts: cleaning it physically and cleansing it energetically.
Before your first use
Wash in warm water with a little unscented, gentle soap, rinse thoroughly, and pat dry.
After each use
- Rinse in warm (not boiling) water with mild, fragrance-free soap.
- Rinse well, then pat dry.
- Air-dry fully before storing in a soft pouch.
Skip harsh chemicals, and avoid boiling — sudden heat can crack crystal, and some stones dislike prolonged water.
Cleanse it energetically
- Moonlight — on a windowsill overnight.
- On selenite — rest it on a selenite plate; no water needed.
- Sound — a singing bowl or gentle bell.
Stones that need extra care
Rose quartz prefers a quick clean over soaking; obsidian and amethyst should stay dry and out of prolonged sun. When in doubt, a quick wash plus a moonlight or selenite cleanse is always safe.
Want a durable, low-maintenance first egg? Nephrite jade is the easiest to care for.
A yoni egg is a wellness and pelvic-floor (Kegel) exercise tool, not a medical device. If you are pregnant, have an IUD, an infection, or any concern, please check with your healthcare provider first, and always listen to your body.
